The evening

An eclectic and accomplished artist CharlÉlie Couture is also active in painting, photography, graphism, scupture and music. His instinctive and poetic music continues to shine on French and now American stages. This concert is also the opportunity to introduce his new album, Lafayette, and interpret again his greatest hits.

A Lorrain in Acadie. He has ben dreaming about it for 30 years, now it’s done: Lafayette here he comes! It is in Louisiane, in the Bayou’s heart, that CharlÉlie Couture recorded his 20th studio album. A raw and festive album that summarizes wonderfully the essence of the music he has been creating for almost 4 decades: an intense and deep blues, hot and humid, between fog and moonlight.

Easily recognizable with his drawling vocals, his funny accent, and his intentionally trivial poetry, CharlÉlie breathes freshness and creativity in the universe of the French Chanson.

The artist ranked in 2010 by Rolling Stones magazine in the top 25 of the 100 albums that marked the History of French Rock with his emblematic "Poèmes Rock" (Island), starts off an American tour that includes a stop over in San Francisco for our greatest pleasure.
